Q: Are they Doves
A:
Being truthful, the answer is no. No-one actually uses doves. Why? Well doves do not have a homing instinct and would get lost trying to find their way home. They would not be able to fend for themselves. Our birds are pure white homing racing pigeons. They have a natural instinct and have been trained to return to their home where they know there is food, water and shelter. Did you know that Doves and Pigeons are actually from the same family?
Q: I'm getting married, won't they soil my wedding dress?
A:
Not to worry, the birds do their mess when they are standing or walking. This is the natural position for them. When we hand the doves to you, if you want to release them yourselves, we will ensure their legs are tucked underneath their bodies and therefore they will not mess in this position.
Q: I want to release them, but would rather be wearing gloves
A:
Not a problem, we can supply gloves for you and any other of your guest that you would like to help release the birds
Q: What will happen when the birds are released
A:
Once released, the birds will fly upwards and circle above for a short time, this is how they get their bearings and then they will fly off home. It really is a beautiful sight.
Q: Is it appropriate to have a dove release at a funeral
A:
Yes, many people feel that it helps them to come to terms with the loss of a loved one. The release of a dove is likened to releasing the soul and becoming free. It is an emotional experience but non the less beautiful and we consider it a beautiful mark of respect.
Q: I have a launch for my business or event, would you consider doing this?
A:
Of course, the release of birds is a fantastic way to open a new venture. Our release policy still applies obviously.
